Fact-Checker & Research Analyst

About the role

Credibility is the product. You sit between the reporters and the publish button, tracing every claim back to a primary source and building the research base that our explainers stand on.

What you will do

• Verify claims, figures and quotes before publication
• Trace statements back to primary documents, filings and datasets
• Build research briefs and source packs for the editorial desk
• Flag politically or legally sensitive material for editorial review
• Maintain our corrections log and post-publication review process

What we are looking for

• 2+ years in fact-checking, research, or investigative support
• Arabic and English reading fluency across official and academic sources
• Methodical documentation habits and a genuinely sceptical instinct
• Comfort saying no to a story that is not yet standing up
